Mr. Shizuyo, The August holidays are 13th (Tue), 19th (Mon) and 26th (Mon).
As a planned exhibition is being held, I think that the renewal is over. Please check and enjoy it as it is closed on Monday. A walk in the garden will be a great time.
You can't eat. It is only a cafe. But you can drink beer. The original beer is delicious.
A small hotel in front of the bus stop in Oyamazaki? There is There is a bus for Sanso from JR Station, so I think it's fine anywhere in the city.
It seems to be operating
Not for general customers. Is the pay parking lot near the railroad crossing east of Yamazaki Station on the JR line closest?
Good place for a quite and cool Museum stroll
This is a small museum, so the exhibits are pretty quick to go through. The most interesting thing here is the building itself and the grounds, which are quite beautiful.
One of my favorite museums. Breathtaking art from Monet to Van Gogh and more. Very surprising place, quite a hidden spot with beautiful gardens, view & Highly highly recommend!
It was very nice place. Not only the museum but the surroundings of the museum, the gardens, are great. You can just talk a walk there and it's really good. There is a shuttle bus from the nearest station that takes you there without cost.
I really like the cafe on the 2nd floor. It's a nice view. Also, it seems that you can get a glimpse of the wonderfulness of the person who wrote the explanations of the exhibits one by one.
start
It is a pleasant place but try to reach the Yamazaki Station before 10am and take the complimentary bus to reach the villa. The new extension by Ando Tadao is which houses the pieces by Monet is interesting. Before leaving the museum have a drink at the cafe and then explore the garden.
Oyamazaki Sanso is a wonderful example of a private mansion during the meiji period of Japan. On site is also a nice collection of Monet paintings. Definitely worth a visit. It is the former home of Shotaro Kaga who helped to found Nikka Whisky Distilling. His close friend, Tamesaburo Yamamoto, the first president of Asahi Breweries accepted a request from the Oyamazaki government to restore it after his death. Asahi Breweries decided in partnership with government bodies to restore the villa back to its original condition and regenerate it as an art museum. You can get here via a free bus from Oyamazaki JR Station or from the Hankyu station.
it's a perfect combination of both European art and Asian art. Monet's, Ando's, Ancient Greek's ....... It's a must-go for art lovers
Beautiful view and building.
A beautiful place where Japanese zen meets impressionism. Love Monet's water lilies and the peaceful gardens there. Cafe on the second floor also has a magnificent view.
Hidden but great art gallery!
Peaceful village museum. And you can also find the underground museum designed by Tadao Ando. Worth paying visit to.
This is a great museum!!
Quaint, pretty, secluded museum. No Van Gogh, but a couple of nice Monets. A cafe w scenic view, but not much artwork to see.
